Bread Rolls (Jun)





BREAD ROLLS (Yummilicious)

Ingredients :

500g bread flour
100g multipurpose flour
11g instant dried yeast
125g sugar
15g milk powder
3 egg yolks
250ml fresh milk ~ lukewarm
1/2 teaspoon salt
75g margarine

Filling :
Your choice ~ I used sardine

Method :

1. Place bread flour, multipurpose flour, yeast, sugar, milk powder, salt and egg yolks in the mixing bowl.
2. On the mixer and slowly pour in the fresh milk, a little at a time. Continue kneading till the flour is almost sticking to each other.
3. Add in margarine and continue kneading till a soft and smooth dough is formed. Add more water if needed.
4. Shape the dough into one big ball, place it in a floured bowl and cover the bowl with a clean plastic bag. Let it prove till double the size.
5. Punch down the dough and shape into small balls.
6. Flatten the dough and place the filling. Cover the filling with the dough. Arrange on a floured tray.
7. Cover the tray with a clean plastic bag and let the dough prove for about 20 minutes.
8. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 C for 25- 30 minutes or till done.
9. Soon as the buns are out of the oven, brush with margarine to make the dough soft and shiny.
